I'm Ellis Orozco

I have advanced degrees in Biblical Studies, have written Bible Study curricula, and have preached more than 1500 sermons over the last 30 years.

But more important than that – I have sat with people in hospital waiting rooms and funeral parlors. I have walked with people through divorce and depression. I have talked a few out of suicide, and I have watched more than a few die a slow suicide through addiction.  

Through it all, I have realized that knowing Jesus is a life-long journey. 

Now, I want to leverage everything I've learned to help you elevate your spiritual life so that you can have a powerful impact on the world.

My Story

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, the eldest son of awesome Christian parents. I committed my life to Jesus as a teenager and have never looked back.

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering before going on to earn Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. 

I have served as Senior Pastor in three great Texas Baptist Churches over the last 30 years.

God has now called me away from the role of Senior Pastor to invest in coaching  pastors and encouraging struggling churches. 

Why I Do It

After the pandemic, as many churches (including mine) began to rebuild, I heard stories of how many pastors and ministers were quitting in exhaustion, and churches and seminaries were struggling to fill the void.

It became clear to me that I was time for me to take a leap of faith and leave the church that I love to embark on a ministry of service to pastors, ministers and churches that are struggling.

I do it because I love God's church and I want to see her thrive in a new, post-pandemic world.
